Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Manager
The candidate work with the Senior Director of Talent Management and Chief Talent Officer and in collaboration with the Diversity Executive Committee, Women’s Initiative, Diversity Advisory Committee, and affinity groups to instill and maintain a culture of inclusion across all areas of the firm. Manage the firm’s overall DE&I strategy and initiatives for programming as it relates to the recruitment, development, advancement and retention of women and diverse lawyers. Lead programming and initiatives for heritage months and various affinity groups - Asian & Middle Eastern, Black, Hispanic/Latinx, Native American/Indigenous, Women of Color, Women’s Initiative, Military & Veterans, and LGBTQ+ Alliance. Evaluate and implement DE&I workshops and training programs (including the bi-annual Diversity Conference) for associates, counsel, partners, and business professionals. Develop relationships with external contacts to include clients, affinity bar associations, professional and community organizations and law school affinity groups to evaluate sponsorship opportunities, conference participation, speaking engagements and training opportunities for women and diverse attorneys. Work with the learning and development and attorney development teams to integrate DE&I throughout the attorney experience, including integration, mentoring, evaluations, and work allocation. Regularly monitor industry diversity data as well as internal diversity metrics to advise and report to senior leaders on the progress and success of the firm’s DE&I programs. Develop relationships with attorneys and business professionals to become an advisor and resource for all DE&I questions and concerns. Work with Human Resources to identify opportunities and implement DE&I initiatives for business professionals. Supervise DE&I Assistant, Coordinator, and interns. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. Bachelor’s degree is required. Should have 7+ years of work experience with 4+ years of diversity and inclusion experience in a law firm or similar professional services environment. Familiarity with recruiting, professional development, DE&I, business development, and organizational development is preferred.
