This position starts at $14.00 per hr. with a shift increase for second and third shift and potential for overtime. At one (1) year the base rate will be $21.60 with yearly increases. Base rate subject to change depending on job classification. We have an open position for a Scale Operator on 1st shift.

Position Description:
The qualified employee is responsible for maximizing the number of Preblend batches that fall within the specified ranges for fat content.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to operate dumpers & dump & weigh the correct amount of product for each mix.
Ability to detect subtle changes in fat to lean ratios of varying incoming raw materials and make adjustments to the formulation program as necessary.
Must help to ensure that raw materials are utilized in the proper rotation and must watch for bones and other foreign materials in the meat.
Must be able to assemble and disassemble all the equipment in the work area.
Knowledge on the set up and operation of the grinder.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
Ability to perform basic math functions (adding, subtracting, fractions, etc.)
Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends as needed
Must be able to reach high and low levels, frequently
Ability to flex/grip with wrist/hands occasionally (less than 5 flexion/minute)
Must be able to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level up to 40 pounds frequently
Must be able to work in extreme hot or cold temperatures in a damp environment.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Must rotate as required for position, required.
