Rosewood Miramar Beach
is looking for a Stewarding Manager
to join the Culinary & Stewarding Team
Overview
Under the direct supervision of the Executive Steward, the Stewarding Manager is responsible for managing the ware washing activities of the Stewards under their shift and participates in the activities of their associates.
Essential Responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
Prepare and distribute assignments for Stewarding staff and review priorities.
Check supply levels in storage closets, complete requisitions for additional supplies needed, and submit them to the manager.
Check workstations for proper supplies, organization, cleanliness, and mechanical problems. Instruct designated personnel to rectify any deficiencies.
Supportive Responsibilities:
Report any equipment in need of repair or replacement to the Engineering/Maintenance team.
Perform other duties as requested, such as VIP parties and staff meetings.
Participate in the Manager-on-Duty Program as designated by the hotel.
Attends other relevant meetings.

Job Requirements
Experience:
Minimum two years of Stewarding Management experience, or two years of food & beverage management experience in a high-volume operation. Must have experience with payroll, managing and ordering inventory, scheduling, and handling day-to-day operations.
Requirements:

Be known for being honest, reliable, confidential, and trustworthy.
Ensure guest and employee privacy and security by respecting confidential information.
Carry out any reasonable requests made by the manager and other members of the management team in a timely manner.
Be proactive, ask questions, and be responsible for the action or lack of action.
Attend and complete the resort's organized training sessions and programs as and when required.
Attend and participate in the hotel and departmental meetings and briefings.
Spanish speaker is required.
Education:
High School Graduate or College Degree or equivalent work experience required.
General Skills:
Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize, and follow up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest's service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain the confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
Technical Skills:
Must have comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette. Strong working knowledge of kitchen operations, equipment, food production, sanitation, and safety. Knowledge of sanitation standards, health codes, Material Safety Data Sheet/Chemical listings, OSHA laws, and regulations that involve the hotel industry.
Language:
Required to speak, read, and write English. Bilingual in Spanish required
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting equipment and heavy kitchen items, up to 50 lbs. and endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reaching up and down.
Health and Safety:
Ensure that all potential and real hazards are reported immediately and rectified.
Ensure that chemical or other agents are handled in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines.
Know and enforce resorts and department's security policies.
Ensure work area, materials, and equipment are maintained in a clean and tidy manner.
