Human Resources Manager
The candidate will lead and manage the routine functions of the Human Resources Department, including administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policy and practices. Plan, organizes and control all activities of the human resources department. Participates in developing department goals objectives and systems. Recommend and administer various human resources plans and procedures for all firm personnel. Provide support and guidance to HR coordinator, benefits specialist, recruiter, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations. In conjunction with the COFO, annually reviews the compensation program, updates job descriptions as necessary, analyzes compensation, monitors the performance evaluation program, and revises as necessary. Prepare and maintains handbook on policies and procedures; provides HR policy guidance and interpretation. Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance; partners with the firm management as needed/required; ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws. Other duties as assigned. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is required. Should have 5+ years of Human Resources Management experience preferably in a law firm of comparable size.
