The Johns Hopkins Hospital The Ortho / Trauma Surgical Unit (Zayed 11 East) - 

is a 32 bed adolescent and adult surgical unit. Care and services provided: orthopedics, trauma, and general surgery. The unit has special device worn by all patients for  continuous surveillance vital sign monitoring

. This device will alert the nurse of abnormal vital signs.

Shifts:

  12 Hour Night Shift

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Active Nursing Assistant Certification in Maryland is required

1 year of acute care (hospital) tech experience during the most recent 2 years is required (EMT or CRT experience may be considered)

BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted

Clinical Technicians at The Johns Hopkins Hospital have the opportunity to provide highly skilled and compassionate patient- and family-centered care as a contributing member of the health care team. Ongoing education is provided to all Clinical Technicians to ensure that all techs perform at the highest level of their certification and scope of practice. During your first year, you will have the opportunity to attend eight days of training off the unit, which provide interactive learning activities to support your personal and professional development.
