A law firm seeks a seasoned and highly motivated Litigation Attorney Manager to oversee a team of attorneys in Corpus Christi, TX. Duties:

  • Lead and mentor a team of trial attorneys, guiding case strategy, legal research, and courtroom preparation.
  • Manage complex litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, and pre-trial motions.
  • Oversee the development and preparation of cases for trial, ensuring adherence to best practices and firm protocols.
  • Utilize advanced case management software to monitor case progress, track key milestones, and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Serve as a resource for legal staff, answering questions and offering expertise on trial tactics, legal issues, and procedural matters.
  • Maximize the value of cases through strategic planning and expert case development.
  • Provide leadership and direction in trial strategy meetings, collaborating with other managers and legal teams.
  • Continuously assess and improve team performance, ensuring alignment with firm goals and maintaining a high standard of client service.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages growth, collaboration, and professional development.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in trial law, with a focus on personal injury cases preferred.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience, with a strong ability to coach, guide, and motivate a team of attorneys.
  • Comprehensive understanding of litigation processes, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Demonstrated success in managing high-value personal injury cases and guiding them through trial.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead a team and collaborate with other stakeholders.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in the state of Texas.
  • Any additional certifications or specialized training in trial law or leadership (preferred but not required).

Skills:

  • Expertise in personal injury litigation and trial procedures.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in legal research, case management software, and other legal tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities simultaneously.
  • High level of attention to detail, organization, and time management.
