Compliance Coordinator
Duties: Responsible for all aspects of corporate adherence to the export compliance plans. Maintaining export compliance procedures, researching, updating and retaining records for various compliance requirements, and development of update programs and corrective actions as needed. Be the Subject Matter Expert for export compliance across the entire organization as well as providing administrative functions for the Aerospace & Defense division and preparation of Non-Disclosure and other contractual agreements. Maintain current understanding of all aspects of Export Compliance requirements through ongoing online research and participation in industry seminars. Update, document and maintain company standard operating procedures as changes occur to the export compliance regulations. Resolve export-related questions from Customer Service and Shipping as they arise. Establish procedures for auditing and perform regular self-audits of the program. Retain all required export compliance records. Denied Party Screening – Utilize software to screen all new customers and monitor daily dynamic screening of current customers. Resolve all potential denials. Research and document special shipping requirements for foreign countries. Submit Commodity Classification Requests and apply for Export Licenses as needed. Coordinate Corrective Actions—as export issues arise, coordinate resolution with export attorney. Perform Export Compliance Training of Staff – ongoing for new staff and yearly follow-up. Prepare and negotiate Non-Disclosure Agreements and other contractual agreements for the company; Utilize 3rd party legal assistance as required. Review customer/vendor Terms and Conditions as requested. Aerospace and Defense Administrative Functions: Review all A&D orders to be sure that all pertinent documents are reviewed and filed and all applicable Quality Clauses and order requirements are reflected properly on the Sales Order. Once approved, enter order into system. Maintain corporate SAM and DDTC registrations. Obtain and retain Supplier’s ratings. Perform other duties as assigned.
