Bankruptcy Legal Assistant
The candidate will manage hearing calendars and pre-/post- hearing processing. Draft and e-file various motions, objections, responses, orders. Work closely with attorney personnel. Holistically analyze case status, docket and claims register activity. Decipher account status, payment history, application of funds, corporate advances, fees/costs, etc. Proactively procure expedient resolution of matters. Correspond with opposing counsel, trustees, court personnel, etc.. Process ECF notifications. Provide timely notifications/documentation to clients. Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with company policies and client directives to achieve overall company goals. Any/All other duties assigned. Should have 2+ years Bankruptcy – Creditor Rights Law Firm experience
Experience preparing and e-filing motions, objections, responses, orders, etc. Proficiency analyzing case status, docket and claims register activity, and account data/history is required. Polished and professional verbal and written communication skills are needed. Proven record of dependability and ability to work well independently and with a team.
