Code Enforcement Officer I
Duties: Under supervision, interprets and enforces municipal and regulatory codes. Under supervision assists in managing various code compliancy programs as they relate to dangerous buildings, property maintenance, trash / debris accumulation, abandon vehicle storage and public nuisance abatement. Under supervision assists legal investigations regarding code violations. Gathers and documents evidence. Assist in appropriate follow up procedures. As directed responds to requests from other departmental agencies. As directed responds to citizens’ inquiries and complaints concerning alleged code violations. Enforces provisions of other ordinances, as required. Performs other related duties as assigned. Performs all work duties and activities in accordance with City policies and procedures.
