Patient Safety Technician /Behavioral Health Unit/ UK Good Samaritan Hospital

No experience required.
This position will require sitting/standing for long periods of time, communicating with patients and fellow staff on a regular basis, and navigating the hospital.
Must be able to work three 12hr shifts from 7PM to 730AM; will also be required to work some weekends and holidays.
The patient safety technician will provide continuous observation of assigned patient and ensures a safe environment for patient and staff. Must be able to visualize and hear patient at all times and intervene and notify nurse if patient is in danger.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Working knowledge of a hospital setting, excellent communication skills, ability problem solve, basic computer skills, calm demeanor.

Prior experience in a patient care setting is preferred
