Assistant Vice President, ESIS Learning & Development ','351596','!*!This position is responsible for redesigning courses, developing entire courses or curriculum, and creating training materials, such as teaching manuals and continuing learning guides primarily for Workers Compensation, General Liability, Auto Liability.  This position will partner with ESIS Field Claims SVP and Operations VP and be responsible to assess ESIS’ Field Claims training needs and develop a training strategy, so individuals are able to digest, retain and apply their training in an effective manner.  In addition, develop the curriculum to effectively address training needs and build learning solutions in claims platforms for effective execution. This position will also be responsible for creating, maintaining, and facilitating the ESIS New Hire Training Curriculum. 

 

This position will report to the ESIS Chief Operating Officer.

 

Core Responsibilities:

This position must possess a versatile skillset to create effective learning courses and materials to meet intended goals and should have a mastery of learning design and technology to:

 

Design instructional management systems

Evaluate new eLearning materials

Create educational podcasts, videos, and content

Design and revamp both new and established learning models

Implement feedback from program reviews

Train others on how to deliver learning material

Research new innovations in both learning design and education

 

Specifically:

Assess Field Claims training needs and develop a strategy to transform training curriculum and execution plan for effective delivery

Create a standardized, repeatable curriculum using existing content and a structured curriculum

Facilitate 3-5 classes a week to ensure new hires can complete core functions after completing the curriculum

Work with clients to identify learning needs and create effective learning solutions

Research, analyze and assimilate information to develop appropriate learning solutions

Write learning objectives designed to close learning gaps and address learning needs

Designs knowledge check questions, assessments, role plays/scenarios, and other interactions/activities that assess the learner’s mastery of the content according to the stated learning objectives.

Ensures learning is supported with appropriate learning tools such as handouts, participant guides, quick reference cards, job aids and manager engagement/check-ins

Collect, evaluates, and acts on learning metrics that are both qualitative and quantitative

Collaborate with ESIS Leadership on learning solutions evaluation to measure and continuously improve learning effectiveness and business impact

 

Qualifications:

Professional and engaging presentation skills

A strong desire/interest in learning about L&D functional expertise – including a comprehensive understanding of instructional design and adult learning theories

Strong analytical skills to evaluate, analyze, and interpret technical information

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strategic thinker with the ability to overcome obstacles; takes an organized and logical approach to thinking through problems and complex issues

Collaborative team player with proven ability to work independently and as part of a team

Excellent organizational and project management skills; ability to build teams and execute plans, drives results, and takes accountability for outcomes
