Accounting Data Entry Clerk
The candidate assembles and organizes data for input into the system. Types of key information into the system through a computer workstation or related equipment. Files material by alphabetical or numerical sequence. Answers inquiries either in person or over the phone regarding data that is being or has been recorded. Performs other duties as assigned. Should have an 18-month combination of education and clerical experience that includes the operation of data-entry equipment and/or a personal computer on a regular basis. Must have strong data entry skills. Must be able to type 45 correct words per minute. Organized with attention to detail. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook. Requires critical thinking skills, excellent communication and organizational skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.
