IAI has an immediate need for a Business Development and Business Area Communications Manager to support the Vice President of Business Development in managing the organization’s strategy, development, and delivery of proposals to its Federal Government clients. The Business Development and Business Area Communications Manager will work with the Business Development team to manage the response to Requests for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposals (RFP) – ensuring quality and compliance for the completed proposal. Additionally, the Business Development and Corporate Communications Manager will report directly the Corporate Marketing and Communications Director to assist on content creation, corporate brand strategy, social media strategy, internal communications, executive speechwriting, media outreach, and advertising.

Experience:
IAI is seeking an experienced Business Development and Communications professional to work as a member of IAI’s Business Development Team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the following areas:
Evaluating Requests for Proposals (RFP) and identifying opportunities that maximize growth potential.
Managing large-scale proposal responses with a team of writers and subject matter experts from pre-RFP through submission, clarification, and final revision.
Organizing and leading color reviews, to include identifying reviewers, developing and briefing review kick-off charts, and organizing reviewer feedback for authors.
Maintaining multiple proposal schedules to maximize resources, adherence to deadlines, and insurance of timely delivery of materials.
Collaborating with capture mangers, subject matter experts, senior leadership, and partners on large-scale proposals.
Developing proposal win themes and clear strengths/weaknesses and incorporating them into each proposal section.
Creating proposal briefs, outlines, compliance matrices, review processes, and after-action reports.
Being a contributing writer and Book Boss on proposals, personally developing significant amounts of new content for various proposal sections.
Creating corporate-wide strategic communications plans.
Developing social media strategy for reputation, brand management, and recruiting.
Identifying and vetting candidates to staff proposal bids, and completing proposal staffing matrices.
Qualifications
This individual must possess a BA/BS degree (graduate degree preferred) in English, Communications, Journalism, or other related field
The candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
Must be a strong, proactive individual who takes the initiative to identify, own, and solve problems
Must have the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment
Must have superior interpersonal, written, and communications skills with the ability to interface with different personalities in a range of positions, including many at very senior levels
Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to independently execute work tasks in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment
Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Microsoft Sharepoint.
Desired Skills:
Advanced Degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or related field
Experience with Federal Government agencies in the DOD and Intelligence Community.
Experience with graphic design (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or related program)
Experience with social schedule platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.)
Experience with acquisition/opportunity websites (e.g., FedBizOps, NRO ARC, GovWin, GSA eBuy)
Security Requirements:
Ability to obtain a Top Secret (Top Secret/SCI preferred) Clearance Required.
