Duties: Contribute to the exercise and expression of the beliefs. Render legal analysis and guidance on the Ministry’s policy and organizational activities, including compliance with laws in the geographic locations where the Ministry operates. This includes the legal aspects of employment, benefits, tax-exempt status, and religious entity status. Serve as a resource and consultant to management, rendering analysis and guidance in the areas of employee relations, separations, benefits, and wage and hour regulations. Give accurate and timely counsel to executives on a variety of legal topics (labor law, partnerships, new ventures). Collaborate with management to devise efficient defense strategies. Specify internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance. Research and evaluate various risk factors regarding business decisions and operations. Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues. Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, government authorities), creating relations of trust. Draft and solidify agreements, contracts and other legal documents to ensure the Ministry’s full legal rights.
