Overview
Crestron Electronics continues to experience rapid growth as we invest in resources and create new opportunities; as a result, we have an exciting opportunity for a Summer 2020 Intern (May - August) to join our UC Enterprise Team as a Sales Management and Operations Intern with a focus on Microsoft and Zoom Alliances in Rockleigh NJ.

Education

Crestron-Microsoft partnership

The most valuable company in the world is also Crestron\u2019s greatest partner. You will learn about everything from Microsoft Azure to Microsoft Teams and how Microsoft\u2019s software and Crestron\u2019s hardware work together.
How to use Microsoft Teams, a cloud-based collaboration tool.
Who are our competitors and what market do we sell into?

Sales Skills

You will learn strategy and technique on how to make a sale, maintain a customer, and convert a customer.

Leadership

With the help of your mentor, you will learn general leadership skills through assigned videos, reading material, and activities.

Deliverables

Document the Microsoft Alliance Team\u2019s GTM strategy
Using Microsoft Teams you will create a Wiki to be a central site for all new sales processes, onboarding documents, commercial maps, communication and salesforce best practices, key Microsoft contacts, etc. to be hosted.
This will be used for domestic and international expansion of the Microsoft Alliance Team.
Create a competitive repository for our sales team to reference on-the-go detailed information about competing products and industry trends.
Work with marketing on refining sales documentation and pitch-decks to assist our sales team bringing in new revenue to Crestron and converting customers away from old-industry standards.
Make a sales pitch yourself based upon the knowledge you gain through shadowing professional sales people and off of what you learn about the market and competition through the GTM and competitive-repository deliverables.

 
Qualifications
General Requirements

Must be enrolled in a college or university working toward a bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, Professional Sales, or closely related field.
Must be available to work up to 40 hours per week during the entire internship period beginning May 27th, 2020 and ending August 14th, 2020.
Must be commutable to and from the Rockleigh, NJ area for the duration of the internship period

Technical Skills

Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Familiarity with Skype, Slack, Teams, Zoom, etc. is strongly preferred.

Other Skills:

Proven & outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate work at different levels of the organization are required
Must be responsible, self-motivated, creative, have a solid work ethic and have a desire to produce a quality product
Strong problem-solving skills
Inquisitive individual with a \student mentality\ possessing a long term desire to work in the Technology Sales Management / Operations space
Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously
Positive, personable, and able to work cohesively with other across various divisions
