Staff Attorney
The candidate must be an experienced lawyer in the fields of tax, probate and charitable giving, provides legal advice and technical support on legal matters for the Office of Advancement; advises the Office of Compliance on endowed funds and selected non-endowed funds; serves as a resource to the Advancement staff by reviewing proposals, gift agreements, and resolutions and by assisting with complex gifts. Knowledge of tax, probate and charitable giving is required. Must have excellent interpersonal, leadership and communications skills, including superior writing skills. Must have excellent organization skills, including the ability to manage multiple demands and/or projects simultaneously. Knowledge of various software systems, such as Word and Access is required. Bachelor's degree and JD is required. Must have 7 years of direct planned giving experience or 7 years of practicing law in the fields of tax, probate, and charitable giving.
