JOB SUMMARYProvide preventive maintenance and repairs on AMR vehicles assigned. This is a second level position requires 2 years on the job experience as an automotive or truck mechanic experienceESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES\u2022 Performs mechanical and electrical repairs as per policies and procedures.\u2022 Responds to vehicle breakdowns in the field when requested.\u2022 Assists other Mechanics as needed.\u2022 Operates company vehicles in accordance with company policy and safe practices.\u2022 Completes all required paperwork neatly, correctly and on time.\u2022 Uses maintenance data base to document all completed tasks / job assignments.\u2022 Attend all mandatory Fleet training.\u2022 Performs all other duties as requested by Shop foreman or shop lead mechanic.\u2022 Adhere to all company policies and procedures.\u2022 Adherence to and compliance with information systems security is everyone\u2019s responsibility. It is the responsibility of every computer user to: Know and follow Information Systems security policies and procedures. Attend Information Systems security training, when offered. Report information systems security problemsPrincipal Accountabilities:\u2022 Vehicles repaired and maintained correctly and in a timely fashion.\u2022 Quickly respond, diagnose and repair vehicles during road call situations.\u2022 Maintain safe and clean work area.\u2022 Paperwork complete and neat.\u2022 Accurately account for all parts and materials.\u2022 Excellent customer service skills.\u2022 Maintain good working relationship with all personnel and professional conduct with outside contacts. Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities:\u2022 Perform other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSEducation/Licensing/Certification: Must have a current valid driver\u2019s license.\u2022 Must have a High school diploma, or equivalent education.\u2022 2 years verifiable Line Mechanic or Mechanic Helper / Associate experience.\u2022 2 ASE Certifications (Truck or Automotive series). Preferably Brake and Steering / Suspension.\u2022 MACS AC Certification or equivalent ASE Certification.\u2022 2 consecutive satisfactory yearly performance appraisals. Experience:\u2022 Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.\u2022 Ability to work independently and as a team member.\u2022 Ability to employ discretion and confidentiality in sensitive areas.\u2022 Ability to read, interpret, and follow instructions on memos, letters, various documents and repair manuals.\u2022 Ability to perform the essential job functions.\u2022 Regular and predictable attendance.\u2022 Basic automotive knowledge and skills necessary to perform maintenance and repairs on company vehicles.\u2022 Must have a full set of personal tools. | Job Description :
