ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensures compliance with all local government and company regulations and requirements pertaining to industrial manufacturingDirects a team of engineers in acquisition, improvement, implementation, and support of industrial manufacturing processes designed to promote lean manufacturing, demand flow, work efficiency and cost savingsManages projects associated with industrial design, new facility layouts, facility upgrades, and design and installation of new production and material handling equipment, process improvements, cost containments, yield improvements, and scrap reductionEnsures the development of metrology programs according to regulationsOversees implementation to guarantee that instrumentation equipment is properly and adequately calibratedDevelops industrial engineers and technicians as strong contributing members of extended product development teams and promotes design manufacturability and other relevant industrial manufacturing or operational philosophiesEnsures and/or refines the cost estimating process in manufacturing engineeringOversees the development and justification of capital expendituresProvides forecasts for the development and coordinateInterviews, hires, and trains employeesPlans, assigns, and directs workAppraises performance, rewards and disciplines employees, addresses complaints and resolves problemsResponsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management levelResponsible for ensuring subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good conditionResponsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and proceduresPerforms other duties assigned as neededEDUCATION/TRAINING and/or EXPERIENCE:University/Bachelors Degree or EquivalentGenerally requires (8-10) years related experience; orMS in relevant discipline and 4 or more years of related engineering experience; orPh.D. in relevant discipline and 1 or more years of related engineering experienceHas significant complex level engineering experienceExperience in the medical device industry would be preferredREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES and CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: Must possess a clear mastery of theoretical and practical fundamentals and experimental engineering techniquesEnglish communication skills, written and oralPosted YesterdayFull time20023247
