Payroll Coordinator

The candidate will maintain and process all aspects of the payroll processing software and procedures. Maintain all aspects of the payroll processing software including reporting. Semi-monthly processing of associate and staff payroll including journal entries as well as monthly processing of partner distribution including preparation of worksheets and journal entries. Update payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, and deductions as needed. Maintain proper functioning and review entries posted in the electronic timesheet software. Coordinate the firm’s W-2 reconciling, processing and distribution requirements. Balance payroll withholding accounts monthly and collaborate with the HR team to resolve discrepancies, and initiate correcting journal entries. Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes. Maintain the firm’s payroll email group titled PAYROLL. Maintain solid working relationship with the payroll software vendor. Maintain documentation of daily, weekly, monthly and annual processing responsibilities and deadlines. Understand of state payroll requirements and registration processes. Responsible for year-end payroll related audit and tax compliance reporting, including partner gross to net calculations. Create and maintain payroll reports and manage projects as assigned by Accounting Directors and or Chief of Accounting. High School diploma degree is required. Higher education, Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Accounting field is preferred. Previous payroll experience is required. ADP Workforce Now knowledge is preferred.
