RESPONSIBILITIES: Comprehend and apply client specific billing guidelines for each client, including initiating and following up on appeals, write-offs, and collections. Set up new clients, maintain and process changes to client information, and provide backup rates and cost requests. Review timekeeper time entries and expenses for common red-flag words to proactively scrub billing prior to online submission. Review and edit pre-bills, submit invoices via client e-billing websites. Act as the system administrator along with the Accounting Manager for all e-billing platforms. Manage budget and accrual entries for each client based on system guidelines. Maintain/create excel spreadsheets to track insurance deductibles. Analyze/track rejections and reductions to troubleshoot issues with a customer service approach. Update and maintain electronic billing formats. Update status tracking of all e-billing invoices through various stages of the billing cycle. Serve as back-up for Accounts Payable and expenses. Serve as backup to the additional billing specialists in their absence.
