Headquartered in Radnor, Pennsylvania, Lincoln Financial Group is the marketing name for Lincoln National Corporation (NYSE: LNC) and its affiliates.The Role  As a TermAccel Underwriter, you will contribute to the success of the new TermAccel organization by performing and delivering on routine assignments and projects while simultaneously leveraging and applying knowledge of Individual Life Underwriting.  You will evaluate insurance applications for which a coverage determination cannot be concluded through an automated rules engine.  You will assess risks to determine whether to accept an insurance application and determine the appropriate coverage and risk amount.                   This position is located in Greensboro, NC.  Responsibilities UnderwritingUnderwrites individual life insurance applications for the TermAccel Platform making underwriting determinations of the terms, coverage and pricing by evaluating applicant data including medical reports, and risk analysis and modificationAudits and approves determinations underwritten by an automated rules engine for less complex cases to ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and policies.Identifies, documents, and presents to internal stakeholders findings that support process improvement.Develops relationships with new business and tele-app staff to achieve team goalsPerforms and delivers on routine assignments and projects while simultaneously leveraging and applying knowledge of the TermAccel PlatformPromotes and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and departmental and enterprise initiativesIdentifies and communicates to management process improvements that reduce workloads or improve quality for the TermAccel PlatformMaintains knowledge on current and emerging developments and trends, assess the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions. Education Undergraduate Degree or 4 years of comparable work experience Experience 1-3 years of experience Underwriting Individual Life InsuranceStrong comfort level with Technology and InnovationStrong written and verbal communicationAbility to read, analyze and interpret both internal and external documents such as general media\/publications, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, policies, proposals, and standard operating proceduresDemonstrates excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detailAbility to work in a fast paced, team environment and be adaptable to changing prioritiesA demonstrated track record of consistently meeting and\/or exceeding performance expectationsPossesses a bias for action and avoids workplace distractionsDrives performance targets to completion #LI-CA1 This position may be subject to Lincolns Political Contribution Policy.
