Responsibilities
Humana Military is seeking a highly strategic, consultative, analytical, organized, and motivated individual to act as a Strategy Advancement Advisor to the VP, Provider Services.
The Strategy Advancement Advisor leads initiatives to analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources. Brings expertise or identifies subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts to identify, interpret, and produce recommendations and plans based on company and external data analysis. Ensures that policies and procedures align with corporate vision. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.
In this role you will partner closely with the leadership team, acting as an enabler for strategic initiatives, and ensuring execution of key priorities. You will be charged with building alignment with leaders and broader organization to include planning, communicating, and operationalizing programs.
Key Accountabilities -
Support VP as a strategist, consultant and implementer to ensure streamlined activities within the organization based on the priorities of the organization.
Supports VP by leading the design, coordination, and governance of the annual strategic planning and operational planning processes
Brings expertise or identifies subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts to identify, interpret, and produce recommendations and plans based on internal and/or external data analysis.
Review, advise, and develop communication plans for customers and internal stakeholders.
Ensure alignment between internal stakeholders and customers across all business process projects and services using proactive communication and engagement strategies.
Ensures consistent visibility for program and project teams by monitoring and reporting business objectives, program/project achievements, and key indicators.
Required Qualifications
Our Department of Defense contract requires U.S. Citizenship
Successfully receive interim approval for government security clearance (eQIP - Electronic Questionnaire for Investigation Processing)
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
10 years of experience in Government Contracts, Fraud and Abuse, Claims Cost Management, Claims Operations, or other relevant/related experience
5 - 10 years of health care industry knowledge in Medicare, Medicaid or TRICARE Claims
Experience in Military or Government healthcare
Project Management experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills at multiple levels
Ability to apply the principles of independent logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and make strategic recommendations
Ability to integrate and coordinate content from various sources to establish deliverables for multiple stakeholders and hold others accountable for delivering
Ability to synthesize information from a variety of resources to present or address an issue.
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
