DIRECTOR OF REHABILITATION SERVICES
The Director of Rehabilitation Services is accountable for all aspects of development, management, and financial success of specific environment. Develops and articulates mission and vision, develops business plan, financial and budget targets, and quality measures within designated areas. Responsible for contractual relationships with physicians and provider partners. Develops plan to ensure outstanding customer/patient satisfaction. Collaborates with other teams. Ensures accreditation, licensing, and certification review processes of designated areas.
Essential Job Duties:
Assists in conducting various programs designed to promote physical therapy.
Completes evaluations of assigned patients in accordance with the established standards of care and practice, short and long-term goals are realistic, measurable, and address functional needs, and plan of care completed within time-frame as outlined by department guidelines.
Develops, implements, and interprets departmental policies and procedures and provides input into development of system policies and procedures related to Rehabilitation Services.
Develops, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and goals and objectives and prepares various comprehensive reports and required.
Directs and supervises department in providing physical therapy to patients.
Ensures necessary supplies and equipment are on hand and are functioning properly.
Hires, trains, directs evaluates and disciplines Physical Therapy department personnel.
Plans and provides treatment to assigned patients as appropriate in accordance with established standards of care and practice and implements timely discharge from treatment including patient/family education, development of and training in a home program, and referrals for follow-up services as evidenced by documentation.
Supervises preparation of charges for various procedures. Makes recommendations regarding changes in charges.
Supervises, manages and resolves complaints, problems, etc. and takes appropriate action to prevent recurrence.
Works with physicians to ensure that Rehab Services is meeting the needs of patients and plans/implements new programs and services as appropriate.','!*!Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy and seven (7) years of related experience required
Work experience may NOT substitute for minimum education requirement
