Legal Director, Subsea Commercial
Duties: Advise stakeholders on legal matters for new commercial initiatives—agreements, orders, alliances, consortia, JV, and co-operations for all matters with Subsea division, including develop NEV initiatives as circumstances warrant. Being an integrated member of the Commercial Management team. Providing strategic direction and tactical support for improving business outcomes and contractual negotiations with customers and other business partners. Forecasting of resources, tenders, and budgets. Providing oversight, leadership and guidance to the Subsea Commercial Legal team. Provide legal counsel, risk analysis, and business input and legal support to Tendering and Finance department. Manage, develop, refine and maintain multiple policies and procedures to support tenders in numerous countries’ legal environments. Examine, negotiate, revise, and draft commercial contracts in alignment with strategic, commercial and operational objectives as well as company policy. Serve as approver and gatekeeper for tender submissions and manage associated risk assessments. Manage deviation approvals in alignment with strategic, commercial and operational objectives as well as company policy. Lead and develop a global Subsea Commercial Legal team to promote and protect the organization’s contracting framework. Serve as line manager for global Subsea Commercial Legal team. Refine development and training plans for team. Allocate resources so as to align support with company needs. In conjunction with NEV Legal, develop and refine contracting practices for new energy initiatives. Develop, plan and execute training to facilitate close teamwork, share knowledge and best practices.
