We seek a People Operations Manager to work alongside internal and external stakeholders to implement and monitor people programs that support a positive,  engaging employee experience for all staff at ActBlue. The Manager will help execute org-wide initiatives and manage change for Our company as we establish or evolve sustainable processes and strategies across all People & Culture functions. They will support our focus on ensuring a strong employee value proposition using insights from data that they collect and manage. This Manager is an integral member of ActBlue’s People & Culture team and will report to the Director, People & Culture. 


Project manage Our company mission-critical initiatives and people programs

  • Support the Director, People & Culture in managing the People & Culture team to key milestones  by ensuring strong coordination, communication, and systems across team members
    • Help establish and manage P&C within-team communication channels and knowledge resources (via Slack; Google Docs, Confluence)
    • Support planning and share outs of P&C team quarterly reporting and progress monitoring against 2020 goals within team & across ActBlue
    • Help set & steward P&C team meeting & retreat agendas
  • Project manage mission-critical organizational 2020 initiatives that include a wide range of internal stakeholders 
    • Coordinate calendars and manage scheduling constraints
    • Support meeting advance planning and facilitation efforts that move decisions forward in an inclusive manner
    • Lead internal communications efforts to ensure clear messaging that maintains progress to milestones
    • Collect, maintain and disseminate data and external resources to support productive stakeholder discussion

Launch and manage Our company people data collection processes

  • Partner with the Director, People & Culture to establish and execute ActBlue’s people data strategy 
    • Research and co-select aligned tech infrastructure to support Our company short and long-term talent data needs
    • Serve as Admin/super-user and quality monitor ActBlue’s people data systems across platforms (accuracy, up-to-date timeliness, security)
    • Produce people & culture data reports and presentations at regular intervals for a wide range of audiences, including but not limited to the People & Culture team, Department Heads and senior leaders, the Director of Diversity & Inclusion, and the entire Our company team
    • In partnership with People & Culture teammates, begin using people data analytics to produce insights that drive improvement of employee engagement and experience
  • Steward employee engagement data collection and analytic workstreams
    • Administer on and offboarding surveys & other employee life cycle surveys, in addition to ActBlue’s annual employee engagement survey
    • In partnership with People & Culture teammates and the Director, Diversity & Inclusion, establish an ongoing diversity and inclusion learning agenda and conduct related analyses at appropriate intervals
    • Use a range of employee engagement data to evaluate ActBlue’s employee value proposition and propose programs and processes to strengthen overall employee experience

  • You bring 3-5 years of work experience, with increasing project management responsibilities.  Preferred but not required: prior work experience in the non-profit and/or political impact sectors
  • Prior work experience managing people data systems (HRIS, ATS, LMS)  
  • You have experience collaborating with and driving goals cross-functionally with stakeholders at various levels of seniority
  • A data-driven, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Discretion; the ability to handle sensitive people data reliably and professionally


ActBlue’s headquarters are located in Davis Square in Somerville, MA, just a few blocks from Boston’s MBTA Red Line train.  This posting is for a full-time, in office, salaried position based in Somerville, MA.

We offer a competitive salary and a generous compensation package, which includes commuter benefits; fully and trans-inclusive health, dental, and vision insurance; an employer-sponsored 401K contribution match; and a flexible time-off policy.

Salary range:  [$50,000-$80,000]
