A law firm in Paramus is seeking a dynamic Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney to represent carriers and third-party administrators in various phases of litigation. The ideal candidate should possess prior Workers' Compensation experience, exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and demonstrate excellent writing, researching, negotiating, and verbal communication skills.

Duties:

• Represent carriers and third-party administrators in all stages of Workers' Compensation litigation.
• Appear for hearings at the New York Workers' Compensation Court (virtual hearings)
• Attend telephonic depositions with medical providers
• Prepare and draft appeals and summation briefs
• Conduct in-depth research on relevant areas of Workers’ Compensation law
• Ensure compliance with legal standards and regulations
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to devise effective case strategies

Requirements:

Preferred prior experience in Workers' Compensation defense

Education:

Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Active license in New York (NJ License is a plus)

Skills:
