Princeton International Education Group (US) seeks an experienced Director for Princeton Education Academy (PEA) located in Conshohocken, PA.

PEA is currently being renovated, with an anticipated opening in Spring 2018 and serve children ages 2-5 years.

PEA provides children with a comprehensive Chinese-American bilingual education while fostering strong multicultural and global values. The Dual-Language Education model will create a playful and full immersion environment where children will discover joy in learning both Mandarin and English language. Each child is taught to value their own individuality, develop their talents, and begin their path as future world citizens.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Instructional responsibilities

·      Collaborate with teaching faculty to develop and implement high-quality curriculum which complies with state and local education requirements;

·      Monitor and assist in designing creative teaching activities that could foster positive learning;

·      Uphold PEA’s core educational beliefs with the goal of promoting professionalism, encouraging innovation, and pursuing leadership;

·      Organize regular training for teachers in order to encourage professional development;

·      Implement strategic plans to improve overall teaching quality by reference to Keystone Star rating standards;

Administrative responsibilities

·      Manage all central operations, including staffing, administration, enrollment, events, and facilities;

·      Demonstrate a complete mastery of the regulatory environment within the industry, including applying and renewing license on an annual basis, maintaining positive relationships with regulatory agencies, adapting to regulatory changes, and ensuring legal and financial compliance;

·      Perform administrative duties such as handling required paperwork, filing documents, managing emails and phone calls, and executing organizational tasks assigned by school board;

·      Maintain student records in accordance with established enrollment procedures and guidelines;

Organizational responsibilities

·      Make enrollment plan in advance by monitoring classroom attendance and open spaces;

·      Manage school budget planning with consideration of student-staff ratio and resource allocation;

·      Oversee all office operations including scheduling, payroll, accounting management, tuition billing, human resources, and staff recruitment;

·      Supervise menu planning and food purchasing;

·      Establish health and safety procedures and monitor staff training in case of emergency;

Communication responsibilities

·      Maintain and promote positive relationships with communities by using available social resources and organizing community outreach activities;

·      Maintain exceptional relationships with enrolled families through verbal communication, correspondence, family events, and other kinds of positive interactions;

·      Develop good relationships with parents of prospective students to achieve new enrollments, especially by organizing tours and other school events;

·      Resolve conflicts through appropriate actions in order to maintain the positive image of school staff;

 

REQUIREMENTS

·      Master’s Degree in early childhood education or related field of study with a minimum of 30 credits in ECE.

·      A minimum of 10-year experience directing a school in early education.

·      Director’s Credential required

·      Job type: Full-time

·      Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Paychex.
