Senior IP Manager
The monitors Paraprofessional workloads, billable hours, and productivity; advises IP Operations Director of findings. Ensures compliance with client requirements. Identifies and assesses hiring needs, determines qualification requirements, and makes hiring recommendations to IP Operations Director. Identifies and addresses training needs of staff members. Assists with staff performance reviews, coordinating review process with IP Operations Director and Supervisors, including ensuring consistent practices across teams and offices. Mentors, supports, coaches, and provides performance feedback and reviews for Patent and Trademark Supervisors. Coordinates large file intakes or transfers out of the firm, working with appropriate departments to ensure compliance with firm guidelines. Assists team members with projects as appropriate. Other duties as requested and assigned. Should have Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years of patent and trademark prosecution experience; equivalent combination of education, training and experience may substitute for education is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel, Document Management Systems such as NetDocs and IP Management Systems (PracticeLink and FoundationIP preferred) is required.
