Tax Manager - Trusts, Estates, and Gifts Specialist
The candidate prepares intermediate to advanced level returns and reviews basic tax returns related to HNW clients. Possesses advanced technical knowledge of accounting standards and reporting standards in researching, completing and reviewing technical areas. Addresses questions on technical accounting matters from team members and upper level client management. Performs a detailed review of team’s workflow and monitors tasks to ensure they are assigned and completed on a timely basis. Manages multiple assignments inside an engagement. Participates in planning and execution of client engagement in collaboration with the Manager and/or Partner on the job. Identifies opportunities to leverage staff including designing staffing structure of engagement. Leads small to medium sized assignments with finalized document and report requiring minimal change upon review. Trains and mentors lower level staff. Takes a lead role in client and team meetings and contributes new ideas and strategic initiatives . Should have Bachelor’s degree with a preferred field in Accounting. Should have 5+ years of relevant work and industry experience. Experience working as a paralegal is a plus. Software Experience - CCH ProSystem, Microsoft Office 365 is preferred. Advanced knowledge of applicable accounting software (e.g. ProSystem Engagement, Tax, etc.) is required.
