Duties: Provide legal services for the Nebraska Commission on Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice encompassing representation of the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training on appeals before the Police Standards Advisory Council and prosecution of revocation of law enforcement certification cases before the Police Standards Advisory Council and the Nebraska Commission on Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice. Ensure and monitor law enforcement officer compliance for certification. Ensure and monitor law enforcement agency compliance for accreditation. Conduct research and advise the Director of the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center on issues pertaining to law enforcement training, standards and certification. Conduct research and assist in the development of rules and regulations pertaining to law enforcement training, standards, and certification. Research, develop and teach law enforcement classes for basic law enforcement officers, supervisors, and managers. Draft policies and procedures, contracts, and other necessary legal documents. File complaints, orders to show cause, and other documents for administrative proceedings.
