Senior Immigration Attorney

Profile

A law firm seeks a seasoned Senior Immigration Attorney to join their dynamic team in Miami, FL. The successful candidate will handle a diverse caseload, represent clients in removal proceedings, and provide strategic immigration solutions.

Duties:

• Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions
• Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals
• Manage workload of cases efficiently
• Visit and conduct intake with detained individuals at centers
• Prepare diverse immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based immigration petitions
• Review immigration applications/packets and make necessary adjustments
• Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on changes in immigration law
• Conduct strategic immigration consultations with potential clients
• Develop case strategy and prepare clients/witnesses for court/USCIS testimony
• Provide legal analysis to determine potential case benefits for clients
• Prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases

Requirements:

• 5-8 years of Immigration Law Experience
• Admission to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction
• Preferably bilingual (Spanish)
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Record of advancing legal cases and managing a caseload effectively
• Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications
• Familiarity with Case Management Software preferred

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction

• Proficiency in case management and legal research
• Familiarity with immigration laws and procedures
