Trust Fiduciary Advisor
The candidate actively pursues opportunities to acquire new business by seeking new trust account opportunities, securing additional assets from new and existing trust beneficiaries, along with developing relationships with attorneys, accountants and other COIs. Provides consistent superior service by exceeding client’s expectations while understanding and complying with established procedures, policies and regulations in the administration of client accounts. Communicates regularly with clients, the families and representatives of the clients and centers of influence to capture new assets and retain assets pending distributions. Develops new Trust and Investment Services fiduciary and agency business. Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with potential referral sources such as attorneys, accountants and other advisors, as well as develop business by cultivating referral sources from within the firm. Participates in marketing programs to promote trust services; including seminars, education luncheons, mailings and call programs. Maintains relationships with assigned clients through mailings, telephone calls, correspondences and client meetings. Prepares and sets up documentation for new accounts including the initial account review. Manages all assigned accounts; assuring proper administration according to the operating document, trust policies, case law and current legislation. Maintains proficiency in utilizing, updating and entering data into the trust operating system. Works with third party investment managers utilizing their expertise to preserve and grow client assets using agreed to asset allocation and objective. Reviews and prepares annual administrative account reviews and resolves breaches by deadline. Maintains professional skills and certification by participating in seminars, schools, and other meetings as necessary. Works with auditors and regulators to review the administration of assigned accounts; showing proper compliance with policies and regulations. Prepares for and attends Trust Management Committee meetings. Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) is required. J.D. is preferred. Should have 3-7 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. CTFA, CFP is preferred.
