We are looking for a PMP certified Senior Project Manager
to join our Professional Services team. The Professional Services team provides project management and retail industry expertise to our retail management software customers and their new software implementations. The Senior Project Manager provides task, resource, scheduling, communication coordination and planning while we implement our retail management software applications at the customer’s site.
Duties include:
Managing one or more large-scale, complex application implementation projects;
Communicating and coordinating plan and activities with our Software Development, Managed Services, and Services teams;
Communicating and managing cross-team dependencies;
Providing on-going day-to-day maintenance of project plans and documentation;
Facilitating on-going proactive risk identification, monitoring and mitigation;
Understanding customer business requirements and software application objectives;
Developing project scopes by estimating time frames, quality and quantity of resources required to successfully implement;
Conducting periodic status checks with our customers and project teams to assess progress against plan;
Keeping large, complex projects on task, on time and on budget;
Serving as the primary project liaison to our customers; and
Providing project direction to junior members of the team.
The successful candidate must have the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related area (advance degree preferred);
7 years experience in project management within the retail or software development field;
PMP certification;
Strong project management skills and knowledge of the processes needed to be successful;
Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Word;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
Excellent organizational skills;
Excellent time management skills;
Ability to quickly learn software applications;
Ability to make formal and informal presentations to customers, coworkers and management;
Ability to effectively manage large internal and customer meetings;
Solid knowledge of operating systems and relational databases (i.e., Oracle);
Experience with retail software systems as a user or administrator strongly preferred; and
Ability to travel up to 50%
