Responsibilities

HHR is seeking a Senior Research Consulting Professional to be part of our internal pharmacy research work stream. The Senior Research Consulting Professional provides expert guidance around study design, research methodology, analyses and interpretation of results. This individual acts as principal investigator, leading the study team from study inception to dissemination of research results, and prepares comprehensive documents including study protocols, technical reports, executive summaries, and presentations to communicate the study research findings. The Senior Research Consulting Professional collaborates with others to execute research studies in order to provide answers to relevant business and clinical questions and is also responsible for guiding research projects through all necessary internal and external review processes. The Senior Research Consulting Professional will lead the production of technical reports, internal presentations, peer reviewed publications and conference presentations based on interpretations of study data. The Senior Research Consulting Professional is expected to work without specific direction and will exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Decisions on complex issues regarding study design and statistical methods will be the responsibility of the Senior Research Consulting Professional but collaboration with study team members and other peers is encouraged in order to produce the highest quality work possible.

The main day-to-day responsibilities of the Senior Research Consulting Professional include:

Leading the development of research study protocols in collaboration with other scientists and business partners

Seeking approvals for research methods and materials from all relevant parties and committees as required

Coordinating the study team and study activities to ensure timely completion of project deliverables

Interpreting study results in collaboration with the study team

Developing presentations and presenting results to appropriate audiences

Developing scientific publications (e.g., abstracts, posters, manuscripts)

Documenting study activities and managing study records per departmental policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

Master's degree or higher in an area of healthcare research (e.g., public health, epidemiology, outcomes research, clinical research design, health services research)

3 or more years of prior work experience in retrospective research, health services research or HEOR

Experience leading teams working on healthcare research projects

Strong problem solving skills, flexibility and the ability to work effectively on an inter-disciplinary team

Strong verbal and written communication

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

3 or more years of hands-on experience with statistical analytics software (e.g., SAS) for purposes of acquisition, preparation, and management of large datasets, statistical analysis, and interpretation of findings
