Reporting directly to International Tax Director, this role will be responsible for US federal income tax compliance for Eli Lilly and Company. Includes support of tax planning, assistance with IRS audit requests, annual tax return data gathering, tax return computations, tax return preparation and disclosures, quarterly estimated tax payment computations, and associated accounting entries.
Primary responsibilities include computation of earnings and profits for Lilly foreign affiliates, unremitted earnings analysis, and US tax compliance for affiliates, and other project work. Other responsibilities include:
Track and advise on current and changing tax laws and regulations
Defend positions upon IRS audit as necessary
Complete tax accounting and related activities
Analyze U.S. International tax reform, develop and implement new processes and strategies as required
Work continually to maximize and improve processes
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and CPA (must be in process or willing to attain)
3 years minimum of tax experience (2 International exposure preferred)
Income tax and financial accounting and tax compliance experience
Advanced Excel skills, SAP, and tax research skills helpful
