Commercial Loan Processor / Closer
The candidate will collaborate effectively and seamlessly with commercial lending and credit analysis partners on the creation, revision and finalization of electronic workflow system inputs. This “soup to nuts” process includes facilitation / hosting of deal team meetings and status updates, resulting in a smooth and efficient loan closing process. Work directly with lending teams to collect, review and distribute approved loan due diligence items necessary for loan documentation. Ensure appropriate fees and expenses are recorded accurately. Notify lending team of missing/incorrect items requiring action. Work directly with lenders, credit approvers, outside counsel and loan operations to ensure loan documents are prepared in accordance with credit approval, loan documentation standards and regulatory requirements. Review executed loan packages for accuracy and to ensure compliance with regulatory and policy requirements. Ensure appropriate approval and/or waivers and exceptions are obtained. Submit the final loan package to loan operations for funding and boarding. Be familiar and comply with applicable company policies and all banking regulations including, but not limited to BSA, USA Patriot/CIP requirements, Flood Compliance, AML and other regulations. Other duties as assigned. A High School degree or Equivalent 1 plus years of commercial loan documentation and review, closing, loan administration or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet requirements. Working knowledge of general commercial loan documentation, loan closing processes and procedures, lending policies, compliance and lending regulations. Ability to review, read and interpret commercial loan documentation, including documents prepared by outside counsel. Knowledge of due diligence and risk management requirements. Good problem-solving and communication skills, both verbal and written. Working knowledge of personal computer equipment and various word processing, spreadsheet or related software. Prefer applicants with a working knowledge of commercial loan workflow software applications and loan servicing systems (e.g. CLO/Credit LEAD (Capital Stream)/Encino, TCS BaNCS, Hogan/AFS, etc.). Prefer applicants with a working knowledge of specialty commercial loan documentation, loan closing processes and procedures, such as commercial construction, letters of credit, syndicated / participated loans and/or LIHTC / other tax-exempt financing. Real estate paralegal experience a plus.
