Legal Counsel

The candidate will execute the global TLC strategy and ensure the prompt delivery of accurate legal advice in the fields of contract, general commercial/procurement, corporate and employment law, litigation and compliance in countries of responsibility and company secretarial work for the legal entities in the Americas. Provide general legal advice on the drafting, review, and negotiation of the major (customer, sales, distribution and supply, finance, services, consultancy,…) contracts in the Americas. Provide general legal advice on employment law (including D&I). Provide general legal advice on corporate and commercial law as well as claims and litigation. Provide general support to compliance counsel with implementation of group Policies, compliance trainings and local compliance investigations in the Americas. Be the company secretary to the legal entities in Argentina, Brazil, Canada and the US, and ensure their overall compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. Coordination of and general legal advice in support of corporate projects in the region, including M&A projects, financial transactions and reorganizations. International / business law degree is required. Should have 5-8 years of relevant work experience at a major law firm or a multi-national corporation. Proven experience interacting with and leading business and legal professionals is required. Spanish or Portuguese skills are appreciated.
