The Candidate will be responsible to assist College attorneys in responding to, and coordinating requests regarding, claims, lawsuits and legal matters. Assist in compliance activities, including governmental filings, revision and maintenance of policies and procedures, and related training. Research and report on federal, state and local laws, regulations, government guidelines, cases, pertinent legal changes and other issues. identify legal articles and advisories and other pertinent material related to the foregoing. Makes recommendations as appropriate. Draft correspondence, responses, forms, and legal documentation for attorney review. Compile, review, organize, and analyze evidence, data, and documents. Serves as the point of contact for the gathering of information. Cross-check and validate information, and prepare written reports. Provides administrative support to College attorneys, including assistance managing and prioritizing projects, organizing and coordinating meetings, events and training sessions, creating and maintaining files, data and logs, greeting visitors, answering phones, filing, processing invoices, budget and general office management. Organize and track case files and other files. assist with maintaining the filing system to ensure the files are up-to-date and maintained so that all necessary information for use by the attorneys is readily available. opening, scanning, and closing of files. Support the maintenance of a campus climate that values and respects diversity, equity, inclusion, and full participation.
