Head of Advisor Development Strategy & Content

The Advanced Advisor Development department is responsible for delivering training and development solutions for Financial Advisors through conferences, online learning, coaching engagements, and designations. The Head of Advisor Development Strategy & Curriculum will be responsible for developing and executing Practice Management Universities (PMUs), Elevate courses, firm-sponsored coaching programs and designations to help Financial Advisors transform their practice. The individual in this role will collaborate with key leaders across Wealth Management, ensuring that all firm initiatives are a central to our Practice Management effort (e.g. Consulting Group, Digital, Investment Solutions, Marketing, Private Banking Group, Teaming & Strategic Partnering and Wealth Management Investment Resources). In addition to internal business areas, the individual in this role will work with external partners, consultants and firms to drive learning engagement and development initiatives. Travel in this role is required.

Major Functions

•Strategy development and execution of Advisor training to drive adoption of Wealth Management Initiatives through Practice Management Universities, Elevate, coaching and designations.

•Partner with internal stakeholders to identify practice management opportunities in alignment with business area goals, objectives, and initiatives (i.e. participation in Practice Management Universities, developing course content for Elevate).

•Host Practice Management Universities with 300 Advisors including opening remarks and introducing guest speakers on main stage.

•Develop communications, guides and resources that will help the Regional Practice Management Consultants drive engagement and adoption of Advisor Development resources.

•Creating a coordinated Practice Management experience for Advisors engaging in PMU, Elevate, Coaching and Designations.

•Develop and deliver quarterly updates to senior management and business stakeholders.

•Design and analyze surveys, tests, interviews, focus groups, reports to determine training and/or performance support needs, as applicable.

•Lead and develop Advisor Development Strategy & Content team


Knowledge and Skills Required:

•7 years of Wealth Management experience; 5 years of Training experience required

•Field experience preferred, must have a working knowledge of the retail brokerage industry and the key field positions and functions

•Experience coaching Financial Advisors preferred

•Self-motivated, strong work ethic, ability to work efficiently and independently, extremely organized, detail oriented and ability to handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently

•Strong and demonstrated ability to speak in front of large audiences

•Excellent oral & written communication and presentation skills with ability to tailor message to audience

•Experience developing and maintaining successful partnerships to work collaboratively with both internal and external partners and articulate deliverables to varying levels of management

•Solid problem-solving and critical thinking skills, resilience and flexibility

•Bachelor's Degree required *LI-CW2
