Legal, Marketing and Advertising Attorney, Vice President
The candidate will work closely with the business teams across the firm's Consumer and Investment Management Division and colleagues throughout the firm's legal, compliance, privacy, executive office, marketing / brand, credit and technology functions to develop and maintain marketing, advertising and brand strategies and communications. Review of marketing claims and copy, and develop / manage associated legal disclosures. Develop marketing materials and related content. Structure and negotiate marketing and advertising agreements and brand partnerships. Develop, review and manage sponsorship, event and talent agreements. Develop, review and manage marketing programs and advertising / media buys. Provide general legal support for advertising and marketing of new consumer products. Monitor state and federal marketing, advertising, media and consumer finance developments with a primary focus on regulations, self-regulatory organizations, consent orders, NAD decisions and other regulatory issues pertaining to marketing, advertising, customer agreements and communications including related laws and regulatory activity. Opportunity to work closely with lawyers from other divisions regarding consumer finance partnerships and transactions. Knowledge of and experience with federal, state and local consumer finance laws and regulations including those relating to marketing, advertising, customer agreements and legal disclosures. Experience with drafting of marketing claims, contracts and consumer communications. Knowledge of consent orders relating to marketing and consumer finance. 3+ years' post qualification experience required in a leading law firm, financial institution or advertising / media agency. Experience working on marketing and advertising related issues and programs with consumer finance a significant plus. Strong oral and written communications skills.
