In 2019, we launched our Field-X marketing program which is focused on placing consumer centric passionate marketing speciailist in key cities across our region. Each FieldX specialist acts as the quarterback for Under Armour Marketing in their city. This team represents our brand in its entirety to our consumers, brand partners and retail partners. Each teammate we hire for this team exudes true passion for our brand, our customers, our athletes and the products that fuel our brand.
The Field Experience (Field-X) team is a part of our larger America’s Marketing team and covers the Americas region of North America and Latam. This team is focused on supporting all channels (DTC/wholesale) and all categories in region with a foundation of three team pillars:
Product and Brand Education: Performing enhanced brand and product education sessions in store, at gyms, at events etc.
Consumer Insights: Collecting consumer insights and identifying consumer patterns for our Hq partners acting as a voice of the field and the consumer
Activating the Community: Activating your community through meaningful hyper local partnerships and the execution of a multitude of Grassroots events
The FieldX Senior Manager will lead this team of passionate brand, product and marketing experts. It is mandatory that this person obsess over the core consumer: The Focused Performer, to continue to evolve where we meet them and how we holistically serve their needs. This person must also display servant leadership and actively find ways to grow their team and develop their skills necessary for a long future within the brand.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for developing and executing high impact regional field marketing plans that drive our regions key channel and category goals
This role will report to the Sr. Director, DTC Channel and Experiential Marketing, working closely with regional channel and category marketing teams to deliver campaigns and initiatives that drive results and expands our local footprint
Lead the creation and execution of a Field Marketing plan coming out of each seasonal go-to-market session focused on educating consumers and retail teammates on tier 1 products, and brand campaigns, gathering seasonal insights and competitive patterning and community activations.
Be the face of the team and work across the organization to strengthen cross functional relationships and identify new opportunities to expand on the 3 Field-X pillars: Education, Insights and Activation
Develop actionable goals annually for the Field-X team to show impact to the business and brand that ladder directly up to the organizational goals.
Manage Field-X budget and program performance to ensure the achievement of business KPI’s while staying within budget
Own the ideation and execution of new and improved tools to support the Field-X specialists in market to perform their job responsibilities and report impact in a more streamlined fashion.
Lead the team through prioritization of multiple large initiatives at once to support the needs of the multiple teams that FieldX supports and represents in the field.
Lead a team of 16 Direct reports
Own strategic development of talent pipeline from Retail to Field-X to further corporate roles
Develop a field expansion strategy supported by data and impact of covered vs non-covered markets
Research market trends, the retail landscape, and competitive products

Education And / Or Experience
What have you accomplished already?
7-10 years direct work experience in a marketing role.
Must have strong retail business acumen
Experience leading multiple direct reports and growing a team.
Experience in working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Deep understanding of the customer experience
Experience in an event management and/or event execution capacity
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Must be flexible to work extended hours if needed to support field-X team initiatives, including evenings and some weekends
Travel approximately 30% of the year
