Senior Associate Director of Institutional Equity

Duties: Provide operational and leadership support for the coordination and day-to-day management of the Office of Institutional Equity and its functional areas. Reporting directly to the University Director of Institutional Equity & Title IX, will serve as a lead resource on matters pertaining to all forms of harassment and discrimination; lead efforts to assure equity and compliance with non-discrimination/equal opportunity/affirmative action obligations in regard to the university’s employment processes, including faculty and staff recruitment and retention; be responsible for responding to and addressing complaints, including by conducting investigations, made against faculty or staff on the IUB campus; provide leadership to and engage in OIE’s education and training initiatives; provide guidance and consultation to the university community in all of these matters; and support the Director in supervision of staff and others with dotted lines to the Director. Will require collaboration and consultation with leadership and stakeholders across the university and on the IU Bloomington campus. In addition, this position will provide leadership and support to the entire university in regard to diversity and equity matters, and to ensuring and maintaining a respectful and diverse campus community.
