SUMMARY

Global Management Services, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a certified pesticide applicator for The DFC Roads & Grounds/Snow Removal contract in Lakewood, Colorado.  Performs integrated pest management on turf, mulch, rock bed, and open space areas.

Strong weed identification skills is valuable, but not required.  Works fairly independently, receiving a minimum of detailed supervision and guidance.  Ability to pass a background check is a must.

Integrated Pest Management

Filling out work orders and reports for the government

Work independently without supervision

Flexible to assist grounds crew in other duties

Safe handler of pesticides

2 years of experience

Colorado Department of Agriculture Certifications (Turf, Ornamental, Right Of Way)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires working outdoors and driving in extreme heat/cold and possibly raining weather. Employee is required to stand; walk; use hands to squeeze and pull objects; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; lifting and/or moving items weighing 25-50 pounds is required. Use of hand tools to perform the job.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

Job is performed outside mostly and occasionally in an office setting with exposure to computer screens.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No supervisory responsibilities.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to the government facility. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity.
