Job Details:
The CPFR, Kroger is responsible for communication between Tyson Foods Inc., Sales and Kroger replenishment. This customer on-site position performs processes centered on strategic forecasting and product replenishment for Tyson Foods Fresh Poultry and Case Ready Beef & Pork items to ensure Kroger’s in-stock expectations are consistently achieved. Primary functional responsibilities include forecasting (includes base item forecasting, promotional forecasting and event planning), inventory analysis and replenishment, coupled with replenishment analysis to identify opportunities for greater efficiency.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
•Responsibilities include VMI division coverage of all Tyson Fresh Poultry and CRBP business with daily touch points including some weekend work.
• Responsible for creating productive, collaborative customer relationships at the Lead Buyer and Division Merchandiser level.
• Expert in supply chain to support the Tyson’s Foods Inc. business within Kroger’s CPFR program
• Collaborate with Customer Service, Demand Planning, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Manufacturing Planning, Transportation, and the customer to develop and improve forecasts to ensure excellent Supplier Performance Scorecard metrics (case fill rate, on-time delivery, etc.)
• On-site expert in the Tyson Foods, Inc. and Kroger supply chain relationship and process, and be expected to share that expertise to develop innovative solutions to causal drivers that impact forecast accuracy / retail in stock.
• Interact with the customer directly to drive initiatives and process improvements.
• Provide real-time, timely forecasts to all Tyson internal stakeholders (production, sales, business unit)
• Interpret high volumes of complex data and make buying decisions for Kroger • Increase efficiency in replenishment and drive improved in-stock levels at the DC's
Qualifications: •
College degree required or 1 to 3 years related experience
Kroger experience preferred
Experience with VMI systems and/or Supply Chain Management
• Strong collaboration skills and written/oral communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks/priorities
• Proactive, self-starter with the ability to problem-solve and adapt to changing customer demands and sense of urgency
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
• High level proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Outlook
