Senior Tax Analyst - SALT
The candidate will participate in the overall state tax reporting process, including amended returns, RARs, etc.. Help coordinate state tax return and workpaper preparation with external consultants. Propose state estimate and extension payments. Review state income franchise returns and workpapers. Analyze tax liability drivers and changes from prior years, and help prepare to discuss those with federal tax teams and tax directors prior to filing tax returns or requesting payments. Ensure tax reporting appropriately reflects business realignments, asset sales, tax positions, and generation/utilization of state tax attributes. Perform annual nexus analysis. Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement and share ideas for transformation that could drive value in the tax organization Build and develop relationships across the tax organization and other Koch companies to understand and optimize the various state processes and business tax positions. Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or Taxation, or a JD is preferred. Experience in a state or federal corporate income tax role is required. CPA firm or large multinational corporation experience is a plus. Experience working with partnership tax reporting is preferred.
