Actuarial Consultant - Financial Services - Claims - Property & Casualty - Staff -
The candidate will have digital claims transformation. Operational and process improvement. Emerging technology and predictive analytics implementation. Leakage analysis and technical claims quality assessments. Vendor and expense management. Process and control assessments. Development and implementation of digital claim strategies, and associated business cases and roadmap development to improve claim program performance. Analysis of historical claims data to identify critical trends impacting claims program performance. Claims operational assessments, including target operating model design, claims process optimization, staffing models, segmentation strategies, internal process and controls, and vendor strategy. Technical claims audit to assess process compliance, and adherence to industry quality standards, quantify claim leakage and determine reserve adequacy. Assist with the implementation of claims technology strategies. Understand EY's service offerings and actively assess/present opportunities for the firm to bring value to clients. Develop long-term client and industry relationships and networks. Work with your colleagues to generate future business opportunities with existing and new clients. Collaborate with colleagues and clients to determine an engagement strategy and create a plan. Communicate effectively with the client and the engagement team. Develop and maintain productive relationships with clients and EY colleagues. Manage project budget and engagement performance metrics. Stay informed of general business/economic developments and their impact on the client. Develop people and delegate work effectively while fostering teamwork and innovative thinking. Contribute to on-the-job feedback/training and conduct performance reviews. Commit to developing knowledge and using technology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery. Respect and protect confidential client information. Should have Bachelor's degree. Claims management experience gained from employment at a broker, insurer, or third-party administrator. Should have 2+ years of claims adjusting and claims supervisory/ management experience across any of the following lines of business: Auto, Property, General Liability, Workers’ Compensation, or Disability; excellent business, communication, and presentation skills; ability to translate complex information into non-technical, easy-to-understand language; strong writing, presentation, conceptual, analytical, and interpersonal skills; willingness to travel up to 50% to meet client needs, as needed. Working across assurance, consulting, law, strategy, tax, and transactions, EY teams ask better questions to find new answers for the complex issues facing our world today. Should have 1 years of project management experience; completion or significant progress towards the completion of an advanced, recognized insurance industry designation (e.g., AIC, ARe, ARM, CPCU), or an advanced degree (e.g., MBA, JD); experience in financial services domains.
