Marketing and Business Development Specialist – Mobility & Transportation Sector and Transportation Regulatory Practice

The candidate will be leading the development and implementation of the business plans for the Transport & Logistics industry sector and Transportation regulatory practice. Delivering market research, client analysis and internal intelligence to support the business planning process. Ensuring the sector and practice leadership teams and any sub-groups are meeting regularly to deliver on the plans. Growing the Transport and Logistics industry sector and Transportation regulatory practice in the market and with key clients. Planning, creating and managing the implementation of marketing communications, including seminars and client events, CLE trainings, client facing materials, external conference attendance and web and social media content. Overall responsibility for the directory and award submission process for Transport and Logistics, Automotive US and the Transportation regulatory practice. Supporting on input coordination for M&T thought leadership publications. Evaluating, coordinating and executing sponsorships as well as negotiating agreements and managing participation in sponsorships in order to ensure that the firm maximizes return on its investment. Producing, managing and supporting seminars, receptions, and other marketing-oriented events and activities, including but not limited to event promotion, development of invitations and other client communications, concept development, and vendor selection. Working with the industry sector or practice head(s), and leadership teams to plan internal meetings and retreats. Supporting the team on the portfolio of clients within the Transport & Logistics industry sector including, monitoring and analyzing client financial performance and internal review meetings. Acting as a client account manager for some of the firm’s key clients in the sector. Conducting client feedback (post matter reviews, client service reviews and post pitch debriefs) for key clients. Supporting on industry sector or practice led pitch opportunities. Liaising with Global Pitch team and other M&BD team members; to provide input to other industry sector, practice or firmwide pitches. Creating and maintaining a suite of standard targeting materials, including credentials documents. Supporting Transport & Logistics and Automotive Working Groups efforts as M&BD Lead. Maintaining key M&BD resources including on the global intranet and hoganlovells.com, team lists, and master credentials documents. Supporting the M&BD Senior Manager (Mobility & Transportation) and the Head of Business Development & Strategy (Global Regulatory & IPMT) to promote the capabilities across the firm, including through global retreats, internal newsletters, conference calls, meetings and the intranet. Managing and contributing to wider M&BD projects as required, including the development of the firm wide industry program. Deal with ad hoc enquiries about the sector and its clients from other parts of the firm or members of the M&BD team. Specific duties or responsibilities may be reviewed from time to time to reflect changes in personnel and management structure, staff location and services. Master’s degree is preferred. Should have 7+ years of marketing experience, preferably in a legal, similar professional services industry or transportation/mobility company. Knowledge of the transportation and mobility industry is a plus.
