IDS Department Specialist
The candidate will prepare and e-file information disclosure statements, and other formalities in the USPTO, maintain established productivity and accuracy standards, and ensure adherence to policies and procedures that are designed to meet the specific requirements of the client. Preparation and filing of information disclosure statements and formalities. Prepare client correspondence and forms for attorney review and signature. Prepare client demand bills and transmit them with reporting letters. Maintain accuracy and productivity standards as set by the Director of IP Services and the IDS Department Manager. Maintain working knowledge of most current USPTO rules and procedures. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the IDS Department Manager. College degree preferred. Additional secretarial, business, or technical training helpful; 1-2 years of patent prosecution experience preferred; excellent writing, organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; strong proofreading skills; ability to handle confidential matters professionally; ability to work well under pressure and adjust quickly to changing priorities; good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others; ability to exercise sound judgment; ability to manage time, people, and resources in order to meet deadlines; ability to take initiative, manage projects and handle multiple competing priorities. Flexibility and the ability to adapt to constantly changing priorities are a must.
