Intellectual Property (IP) Transactions Counsel
The candidate will advise on various intellectual property-related commercial transactions for the R&D group; Draft, structure, and negotiate agreements, including those related to confidentiality, licensing, services, consulting, material transfers, plant trials, clinical trials, equipment leases, joint developments, and sponsored research. Draft and negotiate IP provisions within complex commercial transactions; Identify potential risks and help to create mitigation strategies; and Help develop best practices and SOP for intellectual property-related contracts management. Must have JD degree from accredited law school and strong academic record. Should have 4+ years of prior experience working successfully on technology-focused intellectual property transactions. Must have superior contract drafting and negotiation skills. Training and experience within an intellectual property law firm preferred. Familiarity with relevant areas such as plant biotechnology, genomics, and food chemistry desired. Degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Materials Science or a related field a plus.
