Senior Paralegal II - KCNA Personal Care

The candidate will serve as main point-of-contact on the North American legal team for marketing, regulatory, and research and engineering. Assess and provide counsel on advertising claim development and substantiation methods. Review marketing, advertising, promotional materials, and packaging copy documents to ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements and corporate policies. Maintain an understanding of the organization’s marketing strategies and an awareness of relevant applicable laws and regulations, and internal policies and procedures. Maintain knowledge resources, develop marketing and legal best practices, and conduct related compliance trainings. Utilize strong business acumen and legal expertise to proactively identify, analyze, and navigate potential advertising and marketing compliance and legal issues. Conduct legal research to support and craft creative positions to mitigate risks while achieving business goals. Assist with the implementation of new internal tools and methods for streamlining existing processes to drive efficiencies. Should have a Paralegal certificate or bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in an advertising compliance review. Proficiency in researching and interpreting applicable federal, state, and local laws related to advertising and marketing, particularly with respect to the FTC, FDA, and NAD. Experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry preferred. Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well with others as well as independently. Decisive, yet know when to seek attorney input. Strong organizational skills with careful attention to detail.
